Movie review "Coraline"
There has been so much hype about the release of the children's movie Coraline. Some of my kids friends had watched it at the theatre and absolutely loved it. When we were at the video store a few weeks ago we pre-ordered a copy and we have been anxiously waiting for its release. Well we finally watched it this week. It was a very strange story about a little girl who feels under appreciated and ignored by her parents and then enters a world where she has a set of other parents who are just like her actual parents only they have buttons for eyes and they tend to her every want and need. This world is filled with replicas of her actual life which have been altered to make them as she would want them to be. I won't give away any more of the story but I will say that it was a little strange. My kids both fond it to be interesting. My younger one would like to watch it again. My older one says that she didn't like it, it was too weird for her. For me, once was quite enough.

I have never even heard about this movie. I guess that doesn't surprise you though! I'm sorry it wasn't good. I hope they didn't charge too much for it!

Coraline, yes I have heard of it but have not and will not watch it. I have never been a cartoon person not even as a child. However the plot you discribe sounds pretty good. Don't we all go there in our minds. Thinking of how it could have been if only this or that had happened. We all would love to have had the parents of our dreams button eyes or not.
ReplyDeleteLets say you skip school and your parents find out. There reacting would be. "Oh that was good you needed a day off. You work to hard and school is a bummer. Don't hesatate to take more days off. And can I make you some popcorn?" Yeh thats the world I want, but I have to make my own dam popcorn.
