Rumour has it that Paula Abdul has left AI because of failed contract talks.
Are the rumours True?
And if she is gone how do you think her absence will affect AI?
Carolin says: "I am not a big AI watcher but we have been hearing talk of her or Simon leaving for the past few seasons. I think they wanted her gone and that is why they brought the other girl in."
Why wouldn't they want her on? I don't watch the show much. I always thought that the 'banter' between Simon and Paula was done on purpose! Also, she always seemed to me to be a little bit 'out of it'. I know there has been some talk of Paula drinking too much, but that's not our business. As for credibility, at least she is/was a singer/dancer so she can relate to what the contestants are going through. Maybe she was becoming more popular than Simon????
Could be just another publicity stunt to promote the upcoming season. I read on line that her new manager says she is sad that they have started a new season and she is not involved. Also I read this quote supposedly Paula Abdul posted on Twitter on August 5th
"With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon."
Now I see the grammar errors so it does make it a little suspect that she posted it. But that's what we got so far.
O.K. so that was a quote, errors and all! I was a bit surprised by the repetition. I know now that we are typing so much with the blog that one miss click can really mess things up. That's why we edit! :).
I also heard on the news this morning that Paula posted the news of her not returning on 'Twitter' before the network was able to officially make the announcement. Was that on purpose, like Carolin said, a publicity stunt?
